What is your cancellation Policy?

We accept all credit cards. We charge the full amount of your stay at the time of booking. You can cancel up to four weeks before your scheduled arrival date and get a partial refund of your stay. We do keep $25.00 for each night that is canceled as a cancellation fee. If you cancel within four weeks of your scheduled arrival date, then we will refund you 50% what you paid.

How do I get to you?

The best way to get to us once you arrive in Juneau is by Taxi or Uber.

Do I need a car while staying with you?

The short answer is no. We are close to the bus stop which makes getting to downtown a breeze. However, given that we are not a walkable location, we highly recommend renting a car while staying with us. We are about a mile from any nearby restaurants or convenience stores. Additionally, the bus will not take yo u to the glacier or out the road to see all that Juneau has to offer. Renting a car is highly recommended to get the full experience of Juneau.

Is breakfast included?

Yes! Although, we no longer host breakfast here at the house. We provide breakfast vouchers to a nearby cafe called Auke Bay Cafe. 

How far away is the breakfast cafe?

Auke Bay Cafe is about a mile from us. 

Can I walk to breakfast?

Short answer, yes. But keep in mind that it is roughly a mile and it rains here a LOT! For this reason we recommend renting a car. 

Do you rent bikes?

Unfortunately, we do not. If you would like to rent bikes in town, Cycle Alaska has bike rentals available.

How should I pack?

There are several factors to consider here. We are a rainforest and our average high June-August is 65 degrees. If you are from a warm place you will be a bit cold. We recommend packing with layers in mind. Definitely pack a rain coat. If you plan to take a fishing charter for a few hours pack rain pants as well. You can also buy great gear here in Juneau if you decide you need more.

Are any of the rooms on the ground level?

No. All of our 5 suites are up on the second floor of the house. You will need to climb stairs to get to your suite.

Why do you charge the full amount of the stay at the time of booking?

We do not hold credit cards on file and therefore we can not automatically charge a guests cards at check out. We have tried emailing guests an invoice for final payment before they check out  but too many of them go unpaid and it has been very difficult to reach guests after they have left for their final payment. Please see our Cancellation Policy page for more details.
